DUBERY Family Research in ENGLAND

NEWS---NEWS---NEWS---NEWS---NEWS---NEWS---NEWS---NEWS---NEWS---NEWS---NEWS---NEWS---NEWS---NEWS---NEWS---NEWS

Here is the research of the DUBERY families which I am putting up on the web slowly but surely from various sources mentioned below. I use PAF or Personal Ancestral File as a database and source for converting to web enabled files for you to peruse as you are now. There are a number of branches of the family extants and they will all be put up here as time progresses, predominantly the UK side, but will include the North American side. In theory the various trees can be expected to join, in practice that is proving difficult. I will be putting up source material in due course for those who don't fit into the trees or who wish to check my and my fellow researchers calculations.

AGroupOfDuberyWomen.jpg (618261 bytes)Here is an image of my Grandfather's taken about 1921 and is titled "A Group of Dubery Woman", a great help that is!  I need some help with identifying these Ladies, there are 4 of about his generation and two of the previous.  It is possible that Charlotte Beatrice Dubery (nee Gunning, Herbert George Dubery's mum ) is in the picture age 61.  His sisters are Gertrude age 34 and Daisy age 27.   The image is a thumbnail and the large version (604KB).  The other girls could be cousins, but which ones, I have a separate picture of Lucy Ann Dubery (nee Barcock Doris's mum with her youngest son Sydney) and she isn't in this picture.  Doris's sisters are Daisy Alice age 31, and Ethel age 35.  Of course, which one's which?

The indices are grouped under SURNAME and PERSONS (or individuals) where you can find anyone in the database, including myself (Clifford M Dubery) and the ancestor I have the most work for is William of Farleigh if you click on this you will get a brief explanation on him and be able to click through to the family group sheets and the various lines..

A lot of work was done by a cousin of mine, Robert DUBERY, now deceased.  I found him by a mailout to all the Dubery's I could find in England, figuring that one of them may be related.  It turned out that I was right and Robert replied with a summary of his work and later with an all but complete Genealogy.  His work was held by his wife for a while, and after I drew his step brother Robert DUBERY to this fact, the latter Robert sent me the documents, including his notes from Dartford, Kent to Carrum Downs, Victoria, Australia.  This method of contact is perhaps your second after talking directly with relatives around you, a difficult thing for me to do, isolated as I am, here in Australia.

I hope the data here will help you, and note, I will be putting other English DUBERY, DUBERRY, or DEWBERRY details up in due course.  If there is any corrections or additions you think are necessary you may email me at [email protected] .

War Dead, the honourable place in our hearts for our family that died in past wars fighting for King and Country.
